Sorry it has been FOREVER since my last post. With our move that we stretched out for over 2 months, this all got put on the back burner. What didn't help my cause was that we have done NOTHING worth posting for the last few months either. So now I'm back in the game, and hopefully I will have enough going on to keep my audience captivated!
So this last week we had our second bi-annual Barnard family reunion. This year it was in Logan, Utah. It was a really really long drive, but it was worth it. Bob and Pam rented a 15 passenger van so that we could ease the blow of the gas prices for everyone to which all I can say is THANK YOU!!! It was a lot of fun to all be in one car too. Between Jason needing an entire back seat for health reasons, the two babies, getting lost for a minute or two in Ogden, and the wonderful nothingness of Wyoming, things actually went really well.
Some of the highlights of the reunion were skits, horseback riding, relay games, softball, food, and my favorite, square dancing. We had so much fun our last night when they brought in the square dancing, we were a funny crowd. Anyway, here are some pictures that caught a few moments.

About an hour after we arrived in Logan, I noticed that I hadn't seen Lucy in a good ten minutes. So we started looking for her when we saw Shawn's Uncle Matt sitting by her on the side of the stream. We quickly realized that we were going to have to keep an eye on her with rocks and water so close. She loved throwing the rocks in, and lucky for us Matt found her before she decided to go swimming. Whenever she got a little out of hand we took her down to the stream and she would always calm down.

Is that not the cutest picture of this little boy? This is Matthew Lucy's cousin. I wish I could say that they get along great, but Lucy struggles. I'm pretty sure that the only thing that she says to Matthew is "NO!!!!"
Look at this little girls "smile". Shawn says she has the Hammond cruse where they can't figure out how to smile. After seeing Shawn's eight grade picture, I hope she can get past this phase early in life. (I'm just teasing you Shawn!)
This is Lucy's new Aunt Jen. She just married Shawn's brother Chris about 2 months ago. Lucy loves her.
Lucy loves horses. She was so excited to ride them. She is such a poser already, look at her on that horse all by herself.
Riding horses started off great. But Lucy was tired and she hated having to wait for other people to take turns. So we went an fed the other horse that was in the pen. Lucy kept saying "Horsey out". She was very concerned. Then she realized that she could feed the horses. She loved that. Things were going great until she stepped on a poky plant, then she was done. She kept pointing to the houses and saying "House!"
On Saturday we had a bunch of games, including a scavenger hunt for the little kids. Lucy got to go find the Lolly Pop Tree, and she loved it. Shawn's Aunt Paige did a great job putting that together for them, and the adults had a pretty good time with the activities she arranged for us. My personal favorite was the egg toss. Something about seeing Bob chuck an egg over 100 feet at his poor niece was really entertaining.
