Strike One: I'm pregnant right? Well as fun as maternity clothes are for your first pregnancy, they are 100% not fun for your 3rd. I HATE THEM!!! Especially the pants! What is the point in pants if they don't stay up? I find that to be a bit of a problem personally. I spent about 20 minutes sitting on my bed this morning staring into my closet and still nothing was remotely exciting me. What did I end up wearing today? My jeans which are not maternity jeans, and a gray maternity sweater that I don't like, but I had to wear something. Now I do still fit into two pairs of jeans that are not maternity jeans. One pair was one size too big anyway, and I can't button it so I do the elastic trick. The other pair was two sizes too big, and they still button. This is only possible because I'm carrying this baby so high, which I found out yesterday is because she is breech. Oh goody!
Strike 2: I ran out of eyeshadow a few days ago, so I decided to go buy some new stuff. Is there anything more overwhelming then standing in the make up isle at the store and trying to settle on the perfect shade of eye shadow? Picking out mascara is up there too, but I was buying that at the same time, so I covered it all. Anyway, I went back and forth between 3 different options with Lucy and Jack screaming in the cart and throwing things out. Finally I just tossed one in because I couldn't take the kid's anymore. True to form, when I got home, I hated the stuff. I honestly thought I had made the best choice in the store, but now I'm so not a fan.
Strike III: My hair has been needing some desperate attention for the last month or so. Finally on Saturday I called to see if my favorite hair dresser was working and headed straight in when I found out she was. I've had her cut my hair probably 5 times since we moved here and I have loved the result every time. On this particular day I found this haircut that I LOVED:

I loved it so much that I printed it off and took it in with me. Well, she started chopping and what did I end up with? A mullet! Honestly, does anyone see anywhere in this picture that looks like she might have a layer on top that is 2 inches long? I'm so sad! I get even more sad when I look at this picture now because I LOVE this hair cut. Now I have to wait another six months before I can try and go for it again. I'd include pictures, but it's still too fresh. Oh, it hurts my heart!
I wanted to dye my hair at the same time, but with the luck I'm having right now, I think it is best to wait 6 months when I won't be fat and my clothes will stay on. I will be out of my gross eyeshadow and buy something that is really glamorous. And my mullet will have recovered enough to try to fix, you hate when they go too short, there is just nothing you can do but wait. Until then, I will just dream of my dream hair cut and don't worry everyone, someday I will look normal enough that you won't be ashamed to be seen with me in public.
