So Lucy's birthday is in 9 days, and I know everyone says the terrible twos start before they two, but Lucy has really been really good so far. She is sassy, which we are working on, but for the most part we kind of felt like we were getting away with things easy. I mean Lucy is a stubborn little girl, but she really doesn't get into much trouble. I can handle a sassy no and some stubbornness here and there, as long as my house stays in tack. Anyway, she has been potty trained for the past 3 months, and she has actually done really really well. She had some weeks that she'd have about 4 accidents, but for the last month and a half she probably only had 2 accidents. That was until this week. I don't know what it was, but we went up to Grandma Hammond's house, and Lucy decided she was scared of the potty up there because she didn't have her little seat, which usually isn't a problem. Well since then she has had probably 4 accidents a day, and not all of them are just #1, which they usually are.
Anyway, so this morning started with 2 accidents. That starts my day a little frustrating. While I was taking care of one of those, Lucy found a container of cheerios and poured them all over my living room floor. Then she got into her sponge curlers and ripped them all apart, taking bites out of them, that was maddening, luckily most can be salvaged. Then Lucy pulled all the DVD's out of the drawer while I was getting ready, which makes a big mess, but it is easy to pick up, and I can make her do it. Then at lunch time Lucy threw her bowl of speghettio's on the floor. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt, I think that was an accident, I think it just fell off the table, she didn't mean for that to happen. But the problem with that is that we have carpet in our dining room, and of course it is white carpet. So I put her in the bath tub and started scrubbing the carpet. Well after the first round of scrubbing, I went in to check on Lucy only to find she had flooded my bathroom. She was pouring one cup of water on the floor at a time until there was an inch of water all over that bathroom.
So I went and put a second coat of carpet cleaner on the speghettio stain (which I hope comes out completely), ran out of carpet cleaner, and we'll see how that goes. Then I went into the bathroom to mop up the water. 6 towels soaked through later, I pulled her out of the tub, and made her clean up the DVD's (since I hadn't gotten around to it yet with everything else going on). Anyway, it's only noon and I really want this day to be over already. What happened to my little girl who is so easy, stubborn but easy? I hope this phase only lasts a week.
But I have to go now because as I was typing this I looked over at Lucy who waved at me and said "Hi Mommy" which always means she's done something bad. So I said "What are you doing?" She said "Lucy poo poo on sloor." Yeah, she pooped on the floor. AHHHHH!!!!!! And of course I'm out of carpet cleaner!

ha, you can tell she's your child Tell. You are a good mom to not have done anything drastic.
LOL....Oh fun time! It will get better and I will saw a two year old girl is easier than a boy! Hey just an idea for your carpet under your table. I had the same thing in Vegas, so I bought one of those plastic things (no idea what they are called) that you put under office chairs and stuck under neath Hayleigh in the dining area. That way when she spilled I didn't have to worry about the carpet. Costco has great ones.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That kills me! I so know the feeling of those days! Sometimes Justin looks at me and says "what happened to our kid? He used to be so normal and now he's a train wreck!" and to this I say...and you've only been home 20 minutes! It's a good thing that after all those crazy things they turn around and do something cute and suddenly it all seems a little more worth the chaos!
Tell I freaking love you stories! haha, if this makes you feel better, I don't even have a 2 year old yet, but my cousin's kid came over last night that is 2 and she took permanent marker and drew all over my hope chest! Not fixable, but we'll see what I can do....haha, I'm really excited to see you at Christmas, and I'm excited that you and Heather are having boys together! I feel totally left out what with you 3 being prego, but not enough to get prego again right now;)
Chantell, this post made me laugh, although I felt bad for you. Hopefully you don't have too many days like this. For your comment about the potty treats and toys, we did get the idea from Renee, and she warned me how difficult Randy was. Thankfully, Damon is potty trained now (I never thought I'd say that)!
