Jack's Blessing Day

We blessed Jack today. I know it is kind of weird to bless a baby at two months, when he can smile for his blessing pictures, but we got nailed with General Conference and Easter. We wanted to put it off in hopes that my family could come out, but that just didn't work. We didn't want to do it on Easter because we have 8:30 church, and we couldn't ask people to come out that early on a holiday, especially since most of them were coming from Denver. Well, it turned out that all our reasons for putting it off were pointless since Shawn's whole family got sick this morning, Shawn's friend from work couldn't make it, my family couldn't make it, and so only Shawn's parents were able to make it, and we were so happy to see them. Thanks for driving all the way down guys. I know it's sometimes easier to do these things at home, but we had our reasons for doing it at church. We were able to have Ethan (the little boy I babysit for) and his parents there, and that was really great. I've really wanted them to come for a long time, so it made up for everything else. We also have plenty of close friends in our ward, so our circle was a good size.

Shawn gave an amazing blessing and I was so happy that we could do it today. When we got home, Shawn was sick, so we didn't get any pictures of him holding Jack in his suit. But the pictures we got of the kids are absolutely priceless! I love my two little buggers, and it was so great to get to bless Jack today. So these pictures are for those of you who couldn't make it, Jack stole the show.

How cute are these pictures of the two of them? I knew when I took these pictures I had captured a priceless moment. That always feels so good.

The little tux he is in is suppose to be pants, but Jack is so long, that it turned out to be shorts on him. Actually, the pants fit him perfectly length wise, but they wouldn't stay down. Oh well, he is adorable just the same.

I love him in his little outfit. Such a cute little bug.
